Tuesdays, July 10 - August 28, 8- 9 am. Donation based. Everyone is welcome: Beginners, HCC members and non-members.
Experience the power and joy of Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan®. Yoga Sets will vary every week, with emphasis on inner vitality, subconscious clearing, creativity, releasing fear, withstanding the pressure of time etc. We end with a short breath or chanting meditation.
Logistics: we will practice in the shade. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket or meditation cushion and a water bottle.
Veronique (Anand Amrit) was in corporate finance in NYC for most of her career. She began Vinyasa yoga in Boulder in 1996 and became committed to practicing Kundalini Yoga in 2006 to help overcome a major life challenge. She became a certified by the Kundalini Research Institute in 2016. What she enjoys most about this form of yoga is its superior transformative power at so many levels: physical, spiritual, lifestyle. She is a guest teacher at Yoga Loft and the Little Yoga Studio.
Kundalini Yoga, meant to activate the creative power within us, is a very ancient form of yoga that used to be handed down from Master to disciple.
When he came to the West in 1969, Yogi Bhajan elected to make these teachings accessible to all. He believed that Kundalini Yoga would prove a remarkable technology to help us with the challenges of living in this day and age. But more than that, he believed it would deliver an experience of the Self that would help us not only survive but thrive. Wisdom only becomes knowledge when you experience it and in Kundalini Yoga the most important thing is experience!
