Climate change and human activity are causing extinction of many organisms including those that aid in the planet’s life support systems.

David Arietiwas born In New York City. Got a BA University of Denver 1963-67 (Science area major); MS degree in marine Science (1972-1974). Did algal research in Israel, (Sea of Galilae); Research assistant at the University of Maryland laboratory in Solomon island, MD studying effects of chlorine produced oxidants on algae; Adjunct professor at Oakton Community College; Columbia College of Chicago, Columbia College of Missouri; City Colleges of Chicago; I wrote two books about the environment: The Earth is my Patient (2005) and Prognosis Disaster: The Environment, Climate Change, Human Influence, Vectors, disease and the Possible End of Humanity. (2011). David also won three Best-Teacher-of-the-Year award at three colleges in the Chicago vicinity.
