Facilities Manager

DESCRIPTION

Located in the heart of downtown Boulder, Highland | City Club is a private business and social club creating new ways of working, socializing, dining, and thriving. We believe in the power of community — and we believe there is no problem hard work, a great attitude, and tenacity can’t solve.

We’re hiring a Facilities Manager — but to be clear, this is a hands-on, get-it-done role. You’ll be the primary owner of our facilities department, functioning as a team of one (for now), with plans to expand over time. If you’re the kind of person who likes to move fast, stay organized, fix problems before they become problems, and take pride in keeping a beautiful space operating at a high standard, this might be the perfect position for you.

Highland is a 130-year-old historic property that we’ve owned and managed for the past 43 years. Our campus includes two buildings and award-winning gardens, and it requires daily care, constant attention, and someone who genuinely enjoys maintaining an exceptional environment. Your responsibilities will range from maintaining imppecable grounds, to repairs, to building new additions to the Club, to coordinating and managing subcontractors, to project tracking and prioritization across departments. This is truly a multi-faceted role for a hands-on do-er type.

This role is also highly collaborative: you’ll work with every department in the organization to juggle priorities, communicate timelines, and keep the property running smoothly. We use Asana for facilities issue tracking across the company, and you’ll coordinate through Slack and email to ensure items are handled with clarity and urgency. This position acts as a liaison across departments and with ownership to determine priorities and strategy.

This position is ideal for someone who is extremely organized, naturally proactive, physically strong, and energized by a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You should be someone who has a habit of cleaning as you go, keeps a high standard for presentation, and takes real pride in doing excellent work.

This position pays $27 to $32 per hour, depending on your level of experience, skillset, productivity, attitude, and other contributing factors. There is truly room for growth in both compensation and responsibility. We are looking for someone who is willing and able to prove their skills and work-ethic to an organization that has a proven track-record for helping its team members grow in all areas including compensation.

If you believe you are a strong candidate for this position, please complete the application below. You will be asked to share more about yourself, upload a resume, and provide a few references.
