WHAT WE LOVE

It sounds simple, but it’s a tall order: when it comes to growing our team, we seek a powerful combination of smarts, hard work, and great attitude in our candidates. Here our small and dedicated team shows up daily with full commitment and energy to make the world a better place. We pay serious attention to small details and seek out people who listen actively and are excited to get feedback.

Unlike Corporate America’s current “churn and burn, get rich quick” approach, we are a small second-generation family business who have been at it for over 44 years, and have had employees who have worked with us for nearly two decades. In short, we pride ourselves on taking great care of our employees. If you resonate with this philosophy, we would love to hear from you. Select the position that most interests you, submit your application, and you will hear back from us within 48 hours.

We don’t just offer a job but a career path, a community, and a lifestyle, including great daily gourmet lunches, and opportunity for paid holidays and vacations, and membership to Cloud Medical.

We are completing a generational control transition and a significant technological upgrade to automate our accounting and control systems. Facilities Manager

Are you a Jack of all trades and master of some? Do you have an eye for detail? Do you have perfectionist tendencies? Do you see yourself as a person that can fix anything? If so, this may be the dream career for you.

Located in the heart of downtown Boulder, the 130-year-old historic Highland is home to City Club, a private social and business club (see highlandcityclub.com). We have owned and managed this property for the past 43 years and take pride in the way we maintain our campus, made up of two buildings and their award-winning gardens.

Hospitality

The Club’s byline is ‘Securus Locus,’ which means a ‘Safe Space.' Our goal is to help advance human evolution. We try to achieve this goal through the facilitation of real connections and discussions. People from all walks of life come together over common goals and shared values. Our goal is to create a small slice of paradise, similar to Hotel du Cap, or Ritz Carlton, where we strive to do everything well.

We are searching for a high-functioning, detail oriented candidate to help us expand our Hospitality Team. The ideal candidate enjoys the hustle and bustle of the ‘Restaurant Biz,’ but not the burn out culture, inconsistency of pay, schedule conflicts, etc.

This person is graceful and energetic in demeanor, possesses the ability to follow instructions carefully, learns quickly based on feedback, is naturally attentive, professional, informative and kind…

Editor & Proofreader

In 1978, Sinco International Investments (“Sinco”) purchased the abandoned and dilapidated Highland Elementary School and renovated it into a luxury office building. Seventeen years ago Sinco started to slowly transition Highland from an office building to a private social and business club with 24 private offices and over 300 social and business members. Two years ago, at the outset of the pandemic, Highland City Club launched the Highland Institute for the Advancement of Humanity.

Every Friday at 11:00 am, City Club publishes a weekly newsletter. Initially launched as a basic menu delivery and club calendar outreach to our members, this Newsletter has grown into the public voice of both the Club and Highland Institute with over 700 recipients, a majority of which open and read one or more sections of the Newsletter. Many members comment online to share their perspectives. Striving to expand its quality and outreach, we can no longer rely on our internal staff to proofread and edit this Newsletter, so we are seeking an outside expert to help proofread, edit, and possibly amplify our voice by promoting positions the Club and Institute believe in.

The ideal candidate must have ten years of experience, be tech-savvy, and be able to coordinate the work of other writers, photographers, and digital media experts. Most importantly, the ideal candidate must be aligned with the Institute and Club stylistically, philosophically, intellectually, and spiritually.
