Editor & Proofreader

DESCRIPTION

In 1978, Sinco International Investments (“Sinco”) purchased the abandoned and dilapidated Highland Elementary School and renovated it into a luxury office building. Seventeen years ago Sinco started to slowly transition Highland from an office building to a private social and business club with 24 private offices and over 300 social and business members. Two years ago, at the outset of the pandemic, Highland City Club launched the Highland Institute for the Advancement of Humanity.

Every Friday at 11:00 am, City Club publishes a weekly newsletter. Initially launched as a basic menu delivery and club calendar outreach to our members, this Newsletter has grown into the public voice of both the Club and Highland Institute with over 700 recipients, a majority of which open and read one or more sections of the Newsletter. Many members comment online to share their perspectives. Striving to expand its quality and outreach, we can no longer rely on our internal staff to proofread and edit this Newsletter, so we are seeking an outside expert to help proofread, edit, and possibly amplify our voice by promoting positions the Club and Institute believe in.

The ideal candidate must have ten years of experience, be tech-savvy, and be able to coordinate the work of other writers, photographers, and digital media experts. Most importantly, the ideal candidate must be aligned with the Institute and Club stylistically, philosophically, intellectually, and spiritually. To get your hands around the scope of work, please do a deep dive into:

– Read about City Club online

– Highland Institute Manifesto

– A sample of our Founder’s Letters

– A sample of Member Monday’s

This is as much of a calling as a job, pays $35 - $45 per hour depending on experience, productivity and attitude, and could include club membership with a $150/m expense budget to encourage participation in the Club’s affairs.
